Kaffe Fassett does red really well. This sophisticated summer cardigan does exactly what its name suggests. "Smoulder" is knit in Rowan Cotton Glace and 4-ply Cotton and features simple shaping and set-in long sleeves. Rated for intermediate knitters, the design is one of the easiest to execute from Rowan's master of color. With simple striping the cardigan will work quickly as there is no need to work from a chart.
The finished cardigan can be made in any of five sizes -- XSmall (bust 32), Small (bust 34), Medium (bust 36), Large (bust 38), and XLarge (bust 40). Our kit contains all the yarn you require to complete the cardigan in any of the sizes, using Kaffe's original colors. Rowan 4-ply Cotton is a lovely, soft fingering weight 100% cotton yarn. Cotton Glace, a light weight mercerized cotton with a lovely sheen has been a classic in the Rowan summer line up for years. The patterns calls for a tension of 23 stitches and 32 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 3 (3.25mm) needles. The pattern is found in Rowan's Knitting Magazine number 31, published in Spring of 2002.
